We are looking forward to this year's Diocesan Youth Retreat hosted at Camp Mokulēʻia! Expecting a wonderful mix of youth from all islands and all denominations of churches, our youth will dive into meeting new friends, exploring new skills and leadership training, play fun and adventurous games, and so much more! Ready for some fun?! Come join the Diocesan Youth in learning about how to grow in Christ and friendship with one another as our special guest speaker Rev. David “Kawika” Jackson guides us in conversations and games to discover the love of God, friends, and our community.

2025 Guest Speaker - Rev. David “Kawika” Jackson

Who is Rev. David “Kawika” Jackson?

The Rev. David “Kawika” Jackson, or known as “Kahu Kawika,” is the Diocesan Youth Missioner for The Episcopal Diocese of Hawaiʻi. He lives on Hawaiʻi Island in the town of Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi.


In his 30th year of ordained ministry, Kahu Kawika has served in a variety of church and academic settings, and is currently working on his doctoral dissertation in Educational Leadership through Virginia Theological Seminary. His degrees include an AB in International Relations from Stanford University, an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Masters in Hebrew Studies from the University of Oxford, and a Diploma in Theology also from the University of Oxford.


Kahu Kawika enjoys jogging, swimming, reading, languages, trying to learn ʻukulele, playing board games, traveling, and spending time with his family.
